Vision
To be a premier organization that supports and empowers African Canadians to embrace civic engagement, economic empowerment and social integration in Canada.
Mission
To collaborate with civil organizations and other African associations in providing a voice and platform for engaging African Canadians in the social, economic, and political fabric of Alberta, and to promote other initiatives that ultimately lead to empowerment and integration.
Objectives
Provide a platform for the promotion, support and involvement of members of African communities in Canada on all aspects of civic engagement and participation
Organize and provide avenues for collaboration, information-sharing and cooperation amongst African Canadians for their economic empowerment and professional development
Address the wellbeing of members through targeted programs that improve social welfare and integration into the Canadian multicultural society
Provide opportunity for informal education and/or training of members on leadership and supervisory skills through seminars, conferences, workshops, business breakfasts, lunches or dinners, networking sessions and/or conventions
Build, promote and deliver an inclusive leaders’ empowerment program that engages children and youth of African descent in Canada on leadership, entrepreneurship, mentoring, survival readiness, community service and civic involvement
Nurture, develop and improve the collective interests of members in the pursuit of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in the Canadian civic discuss, governance, economic progress and social networking opportunities.
